Right now, you are probably saying "Of course!". But not many people know what a Queen is supposed to be. Try this EASY test! First you must read the requirements and look below for a more detalied explanation.
Conversion to Islam:
The Hashemites (Hashims) are straight decendants of the Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) and all who join the family and carry the name of Hashemite MUST be Islam. You will not celebrate any holidays from other religions. Also, the person to marry a Hashemite (after converting to Islam) may only be Jewish, or Christian or Catholic. Since the other religions believe in different gods, while the 3 religions believe in the same God/Allah.
Name Change:
Being Queen, people must be able to easily pronounce your name. In Arabic, Queen Noor's name would be Makhila Noor. Many foreign, non-arabic, names are incredibly hard to pronounce for Arabs who are not used to hearing them. The name change is necessary. But don't worry: most Arabic female names mean beautiful things like: Flower, Diamond, Sun, Moon, Wish, Jewel.
Clothing:
Being Queen/Princess of Jordan (depends who you want to marry: most want to marry Prince Ali or Prince Hashim, eventhough Prince Hamzah is to be king!) you will be pushed into wearing either Jordanian Native Dresses or the Islamic dressing: pants and large "T-Shirt" over it. Many dresses come in beautiful colors. You will only be wearing different clothing when meeting foreigners. But at home in Jordan, you will wear Islamic clothing. They are all very beautiful
Koran:
You will have to read the Koran, and it's actually a pretty healthy thing: reading the word of God/Allah. Do not be afraid, you are most likely to be reading the Koran to or with someone you love.
People:
At one point of time or another you will have to eat/talk/sit with someone who you hate. Just share your thoughts with your husband, Muslims are very openminded people. They understand!
Appearing in Public:
In Public, you don't have to appear perfect. But appear at least a little happy or delighted with something. Maybe a little nervous, don't be afraid to show your feelings. But hold in that anger! The Arab world leads a pretty peaceful life and does not need to be disturbed with negative energy!
Children:
The Hashemites are a fairly large family and they would like to keep it that way. Each of King Hussein's wives had at least 3 children (except Queen Dinah, who divorced King Hussein for no apparent reason after only having 1 child). It is most likely to happen to all the wives of the Hashemite.
